Lao Education and Research NETwork or LERNET is managed by the Information Technology center at National University of Laos (NUOL). LERNET has three main members and all members are public universities controlled by the Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES). It is established as the national NREN for supporting the Lao education and research sector, including students, researchers and institutions.
In 2018, LERNET was granted the Asi@Connect 3rd Call for proposals with the cooperation of the Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN), Sri Lanka and Royal University of Bhutan (RUB), Bhutan. This project is called “ Uplifting Resources to Deploy IPv6, DNS/DNSSEC, and Monitoring of the Network performance and its security” or in short “UPROUSEwithLEARN”. Originally, there were six physical workshops to organise in different countries and one workshop had been done in Laos. However, due to the current situation the other five remaining workshops would need to be done virtually.
Therefore, LERNET is seeking offers for the provision, delivery, installation, and support of a server to facilitate virtualized labs. We are inviting quotations for the proposed hardware equipment.
